The Makeup Artist Workshop  is a 3 day HANDS-ON workshop that was started by Candace
Corey in 2002 after on-going requests to share her knowledge and makeup technique. Since
that time the workshop has helped makeup artists push their skill, style and level to other
heights.

The workshop will challenge each student to help them develop good makeup skills and
increase creativity within the artist.
Each day will include a photo shoot of the makeup created by the students on the models
Frequently Asked Questions
Question:  How many people are allowed at the workshop?

Answer:  A maximum of 12 students per class are allowed. This
will keep classes small enough to ensure more one on one
training.
Question:  Are the makeup and makeup chair provided in the workshop?

Answer:  No. All makeup and supplies are the responsibility of the
student.  A "Makeup Kit Suggestion List" will be included with the list of
homework, so students can assess what they already have and
purchase only what they need.
Question:  Do students get to keep the images from the class?

Answer:  Yes! Students get a CD of the looks that they create on
the models. The photo shoots are designed to help a student see
how their makeup shows up in printed images, but also to help
build a portfolio.
Question:  Do the students have to bring their own models to work on?

Answer:  No. Models will be provided by the workshop.
Question:  What if I have questions after the class, will students
be able to have help?

Answer:  Yes. After the class students become members of a
private makeup artist forum that is designed specifically to ask
and answer questions among your fellow artist and teacher.

Question:  Do you have job placement after the class?

Answer:  No. There aren't job placement programs for students, but
students are able to have access to job listings, photographer's lists for
testing,  and they have opportunities to be referred to a job.
Question:  Do we work with the same model for each
look that we create in the photo shoot?

Answer:  No. Models are rotated through out the class
so students have the opportunity to work with different
skin tones and ethnic backgrounds.

Question:  Do we only work with female models?

Answer:  Even though we can't guarantee all model types, we
try to provide various gender, ethnic and age groups of models
to work with.
Question: If all of us are working on the same models,
how do you know which images are my work?

Answer:  To keep images from going to the wrong
student, each model holds up a sign stating who did the
makeup in that photo session.
